If Jesus was only baptized to be a good example to us, then we would have to fundamentally understand Baptism as something which we do for God to show Him that we believe in Him. In fact, Jesus was baptized for at least these reasons: to begin His public ministry, and to identify Himself with the sinners whom He came to save. Rejoice in and give thanks to God for our Lord's baptism - may the Lord bless your worship here.
