Rev. Alan J. Wollenburg - Concordia Ev. Lutheran Church - Sikeston, MO

"And He marveled because of their unbelief." That has to be one of the all time saddest statements in all of Holy Scripture! Jesus left His home town maveling because of the unbelief of the people there. Note what Jesus told His disciples to teach and preach. The people of Jesus' hometown were offended by His teaching and preaching AND especially by the content of His teaching and preaching. May God grant us humble hearts to understand the task of the prophet/preacher as Pastor preaches this morning on Mark 6:12 on the theme: "Familiarity, Prophets, Repentance, and Contempt!" +
